A coworker with a corner office recently put a bunch of birdseed just outside her window. Then she left for a 10 day vacation. When she opened her door this week she was assaulted by a wall of noxious odor. Prarie voles had found the seed and viewed it as their cue to move into the wall. Apparently they also enjoy electrical wire insulation. I'm actually impressed by the amount this little guy got through before meeting his end. They found the other two curled up in a nest nearby.
